Celebrating Achievements: Primary Graduation Ceremony at Arusha Meru International School
27 June marked an important event with the primary school graduation ceremony at Arusha Meru International School, marking a significant milestone for four of our incredible children: Tausi, Winnie-Frida, Abdul, and Shaban. In Tanzania, primary education is a pivotal step, and unfortunately, many children do not progress beyond this stage. Therefore, seeing our children reach this point is both emotional and momentous.
The ceremony was filled with proud smiles and joy as our children, beautifully dressed for the occasion, received their graduation certificates. Tausi and Abdul stood out as they each received special awards for their exceptional sports talents, while Shaban was honored with awards for all-around excellent behavior and exceptional progress. These achievements are a testament to their hard work and dedication, supported by our sponsors like you.
After the ceremony, each child was showered with flowers and celebrated with a joyful cake-sharing moment, surrounded by love and cheers from all. Thank you for your continued commitment to fostering brighter futures for these deserving children. Your generosity helps pave the way for their dreams to flourish.
Graduation diner at Planet Lodge
Continuing the joyful celebration of our children's graduation, we organized a special dinner at the Planet Lodge. This memorable event was a delightful treat for our four graduates — Tausi, Winnie-Frida, Abdul, and Shaban — who were joined by Mama Michelle and Papa Simon.
The atmosphere at Planet Lodge was filled with warmth and excitement as our graduates, still radiating pride from their accomplishments, enjoyed this evening dedicated to them. The dinner provided an opportunity for each child to reflect on the achievements they had reached and look forward to the promising futures ahead.
Their faces lit up with smiles as they shared heartfelt conversations and laughter, creating memories to treasure. It was a fitting conclusion to an incredible milestone and enjoyed by all.
OUR BUILDING PROJECT
Expanding Our Home
We are delighted to share exciting news about the progress of our additional building construction.
Thanks to remarkable generosity of a few sponsors, the construction of our much-needed new facility is now 95% complete! This building will help address the serious lack of space in our existing orphanage, providing safe and functional areas for our mixed-age children, from the youngest children to our growing teenagers.
Despite our limited land, we have worked with our builders to create a thoughtful design that maximizes space and ensures high quality. We are proud to say the construction quality is above the local standard, ensuring durability and comfort for years to come.
In June, one of our board members performed a compliance visit for a progress and quality control visit. It was confirmed that the project is on track, with excellent workmanship and adherence to safety requirements.
Final Stages
We are now in the final stages — adding the finishing touches and furniture that will soon transform this building into a warm, vibrant home for our children. From sharing one single dormitory our 10 boys will enjoyed 3 bedrooms with bathrooms and a relaxing room.
As soon as the construction is completed the renovation of the existing premises will begin. The 10 girls will share the space previously occupied by the boys and the study room will be extended.
SHARING
Generous Donations from Our Global Family
Over the years, it has become a cherished tradition for each visit to 2care2share to be marked by the generous distribution of clothes and shoes collected from our supportive family and friends in Luxembourg. In June, we were delighted to bring over 150 kg of essential items, ensuring every child received at least one new pair of sports shoes, along with jeans, hoodies, t-shirts, underwear, and much more. Additionally, we took the opportunity to update each child's personal photo album with new snapshots from our previous visit, allowing them to relive wonderful memories and preserve these joyous moments for years to come.
A kind-hearted young donor celebrates his birthday in a special way year on year—by collecting money to offer special gifts to the children. This year he offered brand-new sports shoes for all! The shoes were distributed during our compliance visit in June where kids gratefully tried their new footwear.

Academic Progress
Summer Camp and After-school Support
Thanks to the generosity of a long-term committed sponsor, the long summer holiday was filled with learning and growth. All the children were enrolled in the summer camp with different activities from academics to sport and fun.
The After-School Support provided in science, mathematics, ICT, English, and French at the school has continued throughout the whole school year. The children value and appreciate the program. The support is particularly impactful, as there are no qualified adults at home to help with academic needs. Furthermore, the well- equipped labs and study rooms facilities make the learning more productive.
LEADERSHIP AND RESPONSIBILITY
Guardian Angels Program & Personal Growth
Among the children, the four eldest have been assigned as Guardian Angels—mentors responsible for guiding the younger ones. One of the Guardian Angels did extraordinary well by taking initiatives to organize activities for the young ones during the weekends and helping some children to contact and have dialog with their sponsor.
All children have written special essays reflecting on their school results, writing a letter to the future ME and their dreams for the future (see last page).

Compliance Visit & Standards Review
June 2025 Compliance Visit
In June, a compliance visit was organized to ensure our home continues to meet the highest standards of care for our children in line with 2care2share objectives. During the visit, our team showcased the warm, safe environment we provide—from clean dormitories and healthy meals to the loving support of our dedicated caregivers.
New Board Members
We also held productive sessions with local management, focusing on financial transparency, staff training, and facility improvements. Importantly, the new local board members, who bring expertise in finance and law and a shared passion for our mission. Their skills will help guide our long-term vision, fundraising strategies, and compliance oversight.
Together
As we look ahead, we are inspired by the progress made and the teamwork shown during this visit. Together — staff, school, board, and supporters — we remain steadfast in giving every child in our care the chance to grow, learn, and thrive.
GLOBAL CONNECTIONS AND SHARED EXPERIENCES
Volunteers & Cultural Exchange
Since the beginning of the year returning and new volunteers brought joy and learning, to the children. They organized various activities with the children playing outdoor and board games, cooking local and European meals, enjoying a walk along the lake nearby, sharing stories or visiting a small local glass factory.
They also supported school activities such helping some teachers in the class room or participating to sport events.
We are always happy to welcome visiting sponsors and volunteers. It is an important support to the children and opening them to other cultures.

A Day of Joyful Play
Fun Retreat Resort Visit
To celebrate the end of the school year and welcome the holidays, all our children were treated to a delightful day at the Fun Retreat Resort. This special outing was filled with laughter, excitement, and unforgettable moments.
The resort offered a plethora of activities that kept everyone engaged and entertained. We splashed around in the swimming pool and reveled in water games, bringing smiles and exuberant cheers from the children.
The play garden was a favorite as they energetically hopped on trampolines, slid down slides, and soared high on swings.
A lovely outdoor lunch was enjoyed under sunny skies, providing a perfect retreat amidst a wonderful day of activities. As the sun began to set, the children were happily tired, buzzing with the day's joy and accomplishments.
This memorable day was a fantastic way to mark the beginning of the holiday season, one full of laughter and shared happiness.

Ongoing Needs & Future Goals
We are grateful to have found generous sponsors to support 20 children rescued by 2care2share. However, our main concern remains ensuring stable funding for the ongoing running costs of the orphanage. Supporting 20 children on their journey to a brighter future is a long-term commitment that requires consistent resources. In particular in 2025, transportation to school is at risk, our school bus approaching the end of its life.
Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant difference. Even better, a commitment to regular donations ensures that the children's daily needs — education, food, healthcare, and mentorship — are met sustainably.
